Finance and Public Policies

Launched in 2014, the “Finance and Public Policies” program monitors the budgetary process through the lens of the constitutional principles of transparency, the separation and balance of powers, and sovereignty.

The program’s mission is to democratize budgetary issues and place citizens at the center of the debate by providing them with reliable data on state institutions’ budgets through various communication channels, including a platform that allows users to interact with usable and freely accessible information in the spirit of Open Data.

Building on research, the Finance and Public Policies program conducts awareness-raising, mobilization, and advocacy activities to contribute to the emergence and implementation of alternative budgetary policies based on cooperation and solidarity, and that place human rights at the core of budgetary concerns, within a vision of social and fiscal justice.
